Opening Day at Sutton United

Opening Day at Sutton United

It wasn’t traditional first game of the season weather on Saturday. But that didn’t stop a weekend of great attendances!

I was at Sutton United for their opening match of the 2023/24 season, joining a very healthy 4,000+ through the gate to witness the 5-1 dismantling of Notts County.

We had over 10k in to see Carlisle United’s return to League One and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t mention Southend United…

After a pretty turbulent summer, almost 6k were in to watch a 4-0 win over Oldham.

Despite the weather, there were other brilliant attendances across the 44 matches we were ticketing on Saturday.

We even had a couple of postponements for waterlogged pitches thrown in there too!

Onto a bit of Carabao Cup action on Tuesday night and first home games for a lot more next Saturday.

It’s good to be back!
